Saturday was excellent skiing in Badenoch. Next best thing to snow. Consolations - closer, less travel, athletes are showered and eating pancakes by noon. Thank you Kyla and you other cooks for breakfast. Shame on all of you who skipped training with no good reason - this has been the best season ever for Saturday practices. They all add up, one workout at a time.
Sunday bright and early saw the big fall migration from AC closet to Stadium team room luxury. Ladies got their hearts desire - the privacy of the back-of-the-bus dressing room. Curtains and girly things may go up to protect the territory.
In a mere 1-1/2 hour and a single van load, Erin, Kyla, Jennie, Laura H, Lindsey, Mike and Richard transformed the room into a ski training powerhouse, featuring elegant ski racks (cleverly disguised as showers)where your skis won't fall down and a waxing room with drop sheet and 3 (three!) professional wax benches, ready for you to base prep your skis, as you should have done last spring.
Stadium rule #1: Don't leave the front door open unattended.
Wax room rule #1: Clean up after yourself - your mother is not on the team.
